St Jude Art
Patron saint of lost causes. This is my St Jude Art to pay him honor. One of the original twelve apostles. St. Jude was the brother of fellow apostle Saint James the Less. After the crucifixion of Jesus, St. Jude along with St. Simon laid the foundations of the early Church by preaching all across the middle east. Devotion to St. Jude came in large part from visions received by St. Bridget of Sweden. Jesus told St. Bridget to turn to St. Jude with great faith and confidence. He said, “In accordance with his surname, Thaddeus, the amiable or loving, he will show himself most willing to give help.” Millions of people around the world turn to this great saint for hope and strength. Saint Jude became a martyr. His remains were eventually returned to Rome and placed under St. Peter’s Basilica. Feast day is October 28th
